What’s YOUR Roadblock?

What's your dream? What is that BIG goal you have in your mind?

We all make goals, big goals (buy a house) and little goals (drink more water.) It's all part of our process as humans.

However, today I want to talk specifically to your BIG GOAL. What exactly is stopping you right now? What's the first roadblock you need to move out of your way to take a step closer to that goal? What obstacles run through your mind as to why you haven't taken a step forward? In this blog post, I will share a straightforward tip to get you un-stuck.

Your dreams start here.

So, if you imagine your BIG dream, naturally, a list of why it's not happening will surface. Quite simply, take the first barrier that rolls off the tip of your tongue. What steps (big and small) can you take to move that roadblock out of your way? It seems so simple, but it works. And if your goal is still SO far away, that's okay. Working with this process will, at the very least, help you align better with your goals instead of move further and further away from them.

In 2018 I taught private Pilates exclusively and, I knew I wanted to do more with my passion for movement. Specifically, I wanted to reach more people and intertwine my artwork into my job. As I shared on Thursday in my Instagram stories, in 2018, before I could even think about Quiet Bodies becoming a thing, I had to get some significant roadblocks out of my way. Kind of like, hey, it's a snowstorm, and you need to get in your car to get to work because you save lives at your job. But first, you have to shovel that car out and drive (MONTREAL, YOU KNOW!!) For me, my first roadblock was my personal finances. I had maxed out credit cards, student loans, and I was falling behind on my bills.

Before I could start Quiet Bodies, my personal cash flow needed to get sorted big time, and that's where I started.

If it feels like an appropriate time in your life to contemplate your big dream/big obstacle, go for it. Allow yourself to dream fearlessly. Allow yourself the time to visualize the potential as well as the barriers.

Now is the time to reimagine your life. Our world is upside down and inside out. The more of us that live our truth, the more we have a chance of coming out the other side of this thing better off.

Okay, now that you have your daily dose of inspiration to focus ON YOU and YOUR DREAMS, I wanted to give you a quick sneak peek of what March Matness will be like here at QB.

I love March Matness. I can't think of a better opportunity to A) gain more consistency to your time on the Mat and B) confront some of the exercises you avoid. Perhaps this will serve as an opportunity to understand those avoided exercises better and maybe even learn to like them. You know, kind of like the person you dislike, and then you're forced to spend time with them, and once you learn their story, you're pals? Yup.

I will make an official announcement mid-week, but in a nut-shell, I am going to go live almost daily to go through every Classical Mat Pilates Exercise in Joe's order. I can't WAIT.
