FAQ

Where is the studio located?

Our studio is located at 137 Queen St. E, Unit B, Mississauga, L5G 1N1. Look for a bright blue door with the word “PILATES” painted on it. We are up a small flight of stairs on the second floor. Please access the studio using the bright blue door on the right-hand side.

Do you offer Parking?

Yes! There is free parking directly across the street, and there is also street parking available on Woodlawn.

What do I need?

For our in-studio classes, we provide complimentary mats, towels and water. Come on over, kick off your shoes and let’s move.

For our Online On-Demand classes, here’s what you need:

  • You will need a mat. Pro Tip: The thicker, the better to cushion your spine. Adding an extra layer with a blanket or towel works well, or place your mat on a carpeted area if you need more padding.

  • Light Hand Weights (1-3lbs) and other props can be added into the mix if you wish. No props? No problem. We have over 70 workouts requiring no equipment!

  • Wear your regular athletic attire, which allows you to move easily.

Are your in-studio group classes suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! But, if you’re just starting out we recommend starting with one of our Pilates classes and occasionally we offer a Beginners Workshop too. If you’re taking our 14-Day Intro Offer we recommend taking two classes in your first week and two classes in the second week with at least two days in between each class. This will allow you to get the full benefit of your classes without overdoing it. Book your classes here.

What is the minimum age for your group classes?

Participants must be at least 16 years of age to join our classes and their waiver must be signed by a parent/legal guardian.

Do you offer Pre/Post Natal Classes?

We welcome Pre/Post-Natal women into any of our group classes as exercise is extremely beneficial and recommended for uncomplicated pregnancies, even if you have never exercised in the past. We are here for you and will offer you support and guidance in every class, including offering options when you need them.

You can read the current exercise guidelines from The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) here.

If you aren’t sure where to start, let’s chat, and we can offer you some support. Contact us here.

How do the waitlists work?

Our studio is intimate, so waitlists are a reality for our more popular class times. That said, they do move, and if you put yourself on the list early in the game, there is a good chance you’ll get in.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • You will be notified via email if a spot opens up in class. If you do not reply, we will assume you are coming.

  • The latest you will be notified is one hour before class.

  • If you can’t make it or change your mind, please remove yourself from the waitlist so the next person in the queue can have a chance. If you neglect to remove yourself from the waitlist and don’t plan to attend, it will be a late cancellation.

  • Waitlisted spots are subject to the regular 12-hour cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand life is unpredictable. Due to the limited amount of spaces for our classes, we have a 12-hour cancellation policy for all GROUP classes and 24 hours for Private Sessions/Duets and Semi-Privates. If you cancel with less than the required notice or don’t show up, it will result in the loss of your session from your account. Please do not ask us for an exception.

How do I schedule a recurring spot in a group class?

When you select a preferred date and time, you will see an option to book a "recurring" spot for as many weeks as you choose. Please note that you can only schedule a recurring spot for as many sessions as you have in your account, and this can only be done in Mind-Body via the web browser.

How can I cancel my spot?

You may either cancel directly via the Mind Body App or via our website. Look for the tab titled “Schedule.” If you are a private client, please email or call us as soon as possible.

Studio Membership FAQ - When does my billing cycle renew?

Your billing cycle is as unique as you are. When you sign up for your membership, you can decide to start your membership on a specific date. Otherwise, it will automatically begin the day you’re signing up.

After this, your membership will automatically renew every 4 weeks until you cancel.

What do I do if I run out of passes and want to take a class before my account renews?

You can book as many extra classes as you want at the same price per class as your membership. Please ask us for the discount code or refer to the info email we sent you. You can contact us here.

How do I book Guest Passes for a friend/family member?

This is an amazing perk of being one of our Studio Members. Please note you must be attending the class with your pal.

How do I cancel or pause my membership?

Please provide a minimum of 7 business days to notify us of any changes, cancellations or pauses you need to your membership, so we have plenty of time to make adjustments and avoid unwanted charges.

You may pause your membership for a minimum of two weeks once every three months.

Please email us here and inform us of the exact dates/changes you must make.

What if I get sick/have an emergency and can’t use some of my classes before they expire?

Your classes are only valid for 30 days, and that’s part of what makes your membership work; however, if something comes up (sickness, injury, emergency, etc. and you have a class or two left over at the end of your billing cycle, please let us know, and we will happily roll the class over for you to use in the next 30 days.

A maximum of two classes can be rolled over twice per calendar year in extenuating circumstances.

How do I schedule a private session?

Please get in touch with us directly to inquire about time availabilities.

How long are my sessions valid?

The 10-pack of group classes is valid for 12-months from the date of purchase. All other class packages and sessions are valid for six months after the date of purchase. Our studio memberships expire after one month, and unused class passes do not roll over. Our two-week trial expires 14 days after the first class you attend, and our 3 Pack of Intro Privates expires three months after the date of purchase.

We currently offer no refunds on any of our services.

Why QB On-Demand?

When the pandemic first hit, Kala felt the need to stay connected with others through movement and started teaching live on Instagram. These live classes served as a way for us to stay connected and grow as a movement community. We always broke a sweat and enjoyed some tunes alongside the Pilates moves. In the fall of 2020, The Anonymous Pilates Club was born, which we now know as Quiet Bodies On-Demand.

When and how often should I participate in Quiet Bodies Workouts?

You will benefit the most from our Pilates workouts when you are consistent, and for most people, this means unrolling your mat 2-3 times a week for whatever duration or intensity feels best for you that day.

How does the On-Demand subscription work?

You will be charged $30 CAD after your 14-day trial period is complete. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of your monthly cycle. You can cancel at any time and have access until the end of that billing cycle. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any refunds at this time, but if you would like to discuss your subscription or account details with us, please get in touch with us.

What's included in my QB Subscription?

Your subscription will include access to the entire Quiet Bodies library of Pilates workouts, with two new workouts added weekly. Our library has three different intensity levels and three different styles.

Please note that your subscription will be listed as $ 30 CAD when you checkout. Your purchase will show up on your credit card as:

OTT* QUIETBODIES for $ 30 CAD.

How does the music work?

As of March 19, 2021, some workouts include their own unique Spotify playlist for you to listen along with, and since 2021, some even have music layered in (see the “with Music” section.) Follow the steps below for the best audio quality:

  1. Choose your workout for the day.

  2. Open the embedded Spotify playlist in a new window.

  3. Press play on the workout.

  4. Kala will prompt you to push play on Spotify simultaneously with her.

  5. Toggle both the workout audio volume and the Spotify audio to get the music and the workout audio to your liking.

  6. You can then collectively turn up the audio on the music AND the workout simultaneously directly from your device audio.

Want to see QB on the big screen!? You can screenplay your workout directly from your laptop or phone to your smart TV.

When and how will new workouts be uploaded?

We are committed to uploading a new workout every 7-10 days and have over 250 workouts to choose from.

The best way to see where the new workouts are is by visiting the library's New Workout Category.

Do you have any feedback about our schedule or anything you want to see more of?
